Project sharing
Geolitix was designed to enable suers to collaborate with colleagues and share project outputs with stakeholders. You have full control over what is shared with outside viewers and different stakeholders can have access to different parts of a Geolitix project. Project sharing involves defining what is to be shared, and with whom it is shared. Geolitix projects can have different versions, each containing different components.
Project Components
On the side panel of the platform is the Project components icon . Clicking this icon reveals the default project component view.
By adding a new project component, the user is given the option of creating a new empty view with no components or duplicating the current view. The latter is most useful when a complex project has been built and the user wishes to create a new version with some components removed.
Clicking the icon reveals a submenu enabling the user to rename the project component view or delete the view.
Project Sharing
On the side panel of Geolitix is the Project Sharing icon .
Clicking the Add new button reveals options for collaboration with other Geolitix users or sharing project components with a public link.
If you are collaborating with an existing Geolitix user (colleague or instructor), then select Collaborator and enter their email address which they’ve used to register with Geolitix. Since the original project is in your workspace, the user you shared the project with cannot delete or re-share the project. They do have full access to the processing, analysis and output functions using your data.
If you are sharing a project with a client or publishing your work and wish viewers and stakeholders to have a live updated version of your project, further options are presented.
You can select which project components to share with this public link. You can also control if users on the public link can export layers from your project. Viewing of the actual GPR profiles can be switched on and off, depending on what you want to share with viewers.
