Satellite Images

Geolitix uses a series of public domain services to access background satellite imagery. You can select from the source with the most recent and highest resolution imagery for your project area.

Satellite images can only be loaded into geo-referenced projects.

Aligning the imagery

Basemap imagery does not always line up perfectly with surveyed positions. The X and Y correction fields (entered in the project distance unit, in steps of 0.1) let you nudge the imagery into alignment without re-downloading it.
