Account & Subscriptions

Geolitix is a subscription service. There are various subscription tiers, depending on your requirements, ranging from free access for small projects to corporate levels for heavy users with large projects.

Users have the option of subscribing on a month-to-month basis, with the ability to cancel their subscription at any time. Alternatively, users can opt for an annual subscription at a lower monthly rate, or choose annual commitment with monthly payments at the discounted yearly pricing.

Starting a new account

Visit the sign up page. You will be asked to enter your name, email address, a password and a contact phone number. A confirmation email will then be sent to your email address to continue the registration process. If you do not receive this confirmation email, please contact us at support@geolitix.com.

The confirmation email contains a link "Verify this email address". Once this link is selected, you will be taken back to Geolitix to log in using your email address and password. Your account is now active with a free Starter subscription that includes all Geolitix features. You do not need to enter any payment details unless you wish to upgrade your subscription for larger projects.

Managing account details

You can modify your account details at any time. Profile information like your name, phone number, and other personal details can be updated from Settings > Profile. Billing information and payment methods can be modified from Settings > Subscription.

Subscription management

All new accounts are started as Starter subscriptions (free). You can manage your subscription from Settings > Subscription. Click on "New Subscription" to start one, or use the pen icon to modify an existing one.

Starting a paid subscription

Once a free account has been created, it can be upgraded to a paid subscription for larger projects.

You'll need to select the following options:

Service Plan: Choose Core, Plus, or Ultra based on your project size and storage requirements (see the subscription table above for plan details).

Billing Cycle: Select from three options:

  • Annual: Pay once per year at the discounted yearly rate
  • Monthly: Pay each month at the monthly rate
  • Annual Commitment: Monthly payments at the discounted yearly pricing. This option gives you the savings of an annual subscription while spreading payments across 12 months, but you commit to the full year.

Extra Storage (optional): All plans include storage as shown in the table above. You can purchase additional storage if the included amount is not sufficient for your needs.

Auto-Renewal: Choose whether to automatically renew your subscription or set it to "Do not auto-renew" for a one-time subscription period.

After confirming your selections, you'll be taken to the payment processor to complete your subscription. Your new plan limits take effect immediately.

Upgrading a subscription

A subscription can be upgraded at any time. When upgrading, select your new service plan and billing cycle. The new plan takes effect immediately and starts a new billing cycle. Any remaining unused time from your current subscription will be applied as credit, so you only pay the difference between your credit and the new plan cost.

Downgrade a subscription

A subscription can be downgraded at any time. When downgrading, you'll continue to have access to your current plan until the next billing cycle, when the downgrade takes effect and the new pricing applies.

Projects which are now over the limit of your downgraded level will be maintained on our servers according to the Data retention policy. It is strongly recommended that you download all excess projects as soon as possible to avoid losing the data.

Modify payment method

You can modify the payment method you use at any time. In your subscription settings, click on the credit card icon next to your payment method description, where you can enter your new payment details.

Cancel a subscription

Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. You can either set "Do not auto-renew" when initially subscribing, or change this setting later in your subscription settings by editing your subscription. You'll continue to have access to your current plan until the end of your billing cycle.

If you've selected the annual subscription with monthly payment option, your monthly payments will continue until the end of the current subscription year.

Data retention policy

If a subscription is cancelled, Geolitix will retain your project files for a period of 90 days. During this retention period, your data remains on our platform but cannot be accessed without an active subscription. After 90 days, files will be automatically deleted. If you re-subscribe within the 90-day retention period, your files will be immediately available on your account.

This allows users who use GPR sporadically or seasonally to pause their paid subscription for up to 90 days while preserving their project files for future access.

FAQ

Will I be automatically billed when my current billing cycle completes?
Only if you choose auto-renewal when subscribing. Geolitix offers the option to set "Do not auto-renew" when creating your subscription, or you can cancel your renewal later to turn off automatic billing.

Can I subscribe one month at a time?
Yes, you can set "Do not auto-renew" when subscribing to pay for just one billing period without automatic renewal.

Is it safe to use my credit card, and is my information secure?
Yes. Your payment information isn't stored by Geolitix. We use Stripe, a dedicated and secure payment company trusted by the largest companies on the Internet.

How do I get a receipt for my subscription?
Each month, we send you a receipt for the following month’s subscription to the email address you used when initially registering your account. If you do not receive this receipt, please contact us at support@geolitix.com.

What are the payment options for Geolitix?
